İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, Psikiyatri Anabilim Dalı, Konsültasyon Liyezon Psikiyatrisi Bilim Dalı Cancer, starting from its initial diagnostic period is a difficult situation for both the patient and the family. Even with today's recent chemotherapeutic agents, the side effect incidence is still high, thus making this period harder for the patients. Alongside with the side effects related to chemotherapy, many psychological reactions and psychiatric illnesses may be apparent. Anxiety, depressive mood, sleep disorders, non-compliance with the treatment and communication problems in the patient-family-treatment team triangle may occur. If psychological care and medical treatment can performed in coordination at the same time treatment strategies would give much better results for both patients and doctors. The aim of this study is to give an insight to medical staff about the psychological reactions seen in the patients undergoing to chemotherapy. Keywords :
